Look at our website for more information: CouchSurfingJobs.com Currently we are looking for: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR PURPOSE * To ensure maximum uptime and reliable performance of our servers * To ensure future scalability through system-design and development RESPONSIBILITIES * Setting-up, configuring, managing, and maintaining servers (web, database, SMTP, load balancers, backup) * Maintaining up to date backups (database and others) * Responding to emergency downtime * Keeping server systems secure * Troubleshooting and fixing sysadmin related bugs * Engineering scalable back-end systems * Working with developers on programming projects that require back-end support * Assisting with testing and QA processes * Automating repetitive sysadmin and developer tasks * Recommending and establishing policies for systems and services * Creating thorough systems documentation * Managing code repositories and deployments * Assist in hardware purchasing decisions and data center setup and maintenance. MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS * Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux, MySQL, Apache, and OO PHP * Proven experience administering multiple servers * Detailed understanding regarding the inner workings of large websites SUPPLEMENTAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Experience with MVC frameworks * Experience with CentOS * Experience with Linux and hardware details * Experience with Subversion and/or other SCM tools * Experience with Puppet Configuration Management * Experience dealing with Postfix and email deliverability issues MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION * Bachelor's Degree in Science strongly preferred * 4+ years experience as a Systems Administrator HOURS WE PROVIDE * 40 hours (Full time) APPLICATION * To apply follow this link: CouchSurfingJobs.com"
