Currently we are seeking a Project Manager on a 6-12 month contract basis, to support related activities for our Mount Laurel, NJ based customer. The hired resource will play the lead role in overseeing the upgrade of our customer’s firewall security applications, both from a hardware and software perspective. The hired resource should possess data networking experience. Candidates need strong project management skills, the ability to lead others, interact with vendors, and possess the ability to work independently. In addition, candidates will have experience and skills with regards to project definition, planning, budget management, execution, implementation and communication. The position will also be responsible for working with an established project team and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors and partners to deliver on this vital implementation and set-up. Day-to-day responsibilities may include: Direct and manage all project activities from beginning to end Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Applies appropriate methodology tools and templates for completing assigned project Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis Estimate the resources and participants Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as necessary Negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required resource Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Produce regular status reports Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, manage risk and devise contingency plans Define project success criteria Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management Possess demonstrated experience with infrastructure implementations and set-up Have experience establishing a new building/facility set-up from “soup to nuts” Candidates will possess the following requirements for consideration: A Bachelors’ degree 5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and... http://bull.hn/l/FD4B/2"
