"Field Applications Engineer located in TX & CA in Houston, TX One of my client is looking for a Field Application Eng to work withe local OEM and partners of the company, based in Houston,TX. Job Description: This individual will be responsible for supporting the company OEM customers designing the company silicon devices and systems into their products. The ideal candidate should have a development background in the fields of board design, firmware development, low level device driver development or application software development. The candidate must show good overall understanding of system level issues and be familiar with high-speed networking technologies and protocols (particularly 10/40Gigabit Ethernet, InfiniBand, Fibre Channel). Responsibilities include technical management of accounts; participating in the project life cycle to include definition, design, software porting, reviews, bring-up and ongoing support; delegating issues to the company engineering and drive for solution; preparing and delivering technical training/presentations; and participating in pre-sales activities. Requirements: BSEE/BSCS - MUST 3+ years hardware/software development experience or highly technical support experience Knowledge of networking protocols, including layers 2, 3 and 4 Independent. Self motivated. Dedicated.
