"SQL server administrator in Boston, MA Full time SQL DBA Location: Boston, MA Full time opportunity Position Overview: The Database Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for reviewing developer code for both standards compliance and performance. The DSA will also assist in the monitoring of the production, development, and QA database environments for general health and work with other members of the team to correct any issues that may arise. The DSA will report to the manager of the Database Operations group and provide guidance to internal development staff on database related best practices, automate tasks to reduce day-to-day overhead, and perform daily status checks of the database environments. Duties and Responsibilities •Ensure that both database and query performance are optimized and automated database processes including replication, Data Transformation Services (DTS) and SSIS are performing optimally. •Maintain ongoing performance monitoring and error reporting systems as well as efficient problem resolution. •Assist software developers with database development projects. Responsible for reviewing development code and ensuring established coding standards are applied consistently. •Ensure that production databases are available to end users at all times. •Provide architectural input and direction for evolving database environments. •Assist with disaster recovery readiness of the entire database environment which includes managing a timely SQL backup schedule to protect the integrity of the information/data stored as well as offsite replication.   http://bull.hn/l/IB0Q/1"
