"Jacobi & Partner Romania is looking to recruit: Product Manager Streaming Job Location: Bucharest (regular journeys to key EU and US locations) Roles & Responsibilities: As Product Manager you will be responsible for: • Anticipating, designing and delivering successful products in line with customer and market expectations by:  Collecting market needs and requirements from customers, sales teams, industry visionaries  Exchanging with senior developers and architects and forming a solid product vision supported by technology • Very closely supporting the product development teams working on your “Streaming products” line by providing  Product specifications, i.e. business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria.  Review of technical solutions/architectures proposed by the development teams  Very regular feedback on product deliveries and previews  Acceptance on products before go-to-market • Defining and negotiating product roadmaps and business cases with your fellow “product management” team members as well as the TOP management team. • Liaising with the Sales and Marketing teams located in the US and Europe in order to devise “go-to-market” strategies, train them on new products & features as well as support them in front of major accounts. • Being a “face” of the company by attending trade shows, giving keynote speeches and interviews on your product line and vision. Qualifications (hard requirements): • BS MS business, commercial engineer, marketing, product marketing OR BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical degree • 5+ year experience in IT product companies either as product manager, product owner, requirements analyst, architect, development engineer, senior developer, marketer, or business analyst • 2+ year experience in a “product management” or “product marketing” position and familiar with:  Product development cycles: from Idea Generation to Idea Screening, Concept Development and Testing, Business Analysis, Beta Testing, Market Testing, New Product Pricing, Technical Implementation Follow-up and Commercialization.  Devising business requirements, product specifications: MRD, PRD.  Identifying Product Unique Selling Points, performing SWOT analyses. • Domain expertise in any of the following:  streaming media (audio, video)  streaming servers, file servers  ad servers  ad networks or ad exchanges  high-traffic website, webservices • Technical expertise with any of the following  Streaming servers: Wowza, Flash Media Server, Icecast, ShoutCAST  Digital audio encoders  Radio Content automation tools  Web Servers  Podcasts  Media players  Digital compression and media encoding (mp3, aac, ogg.) • passionate about software products Basic Qualifications: • Must have an entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality. • Strong organizational, process and analytical skills. Detail-oriented. • Excellent interpersonal communication (written and verbal) skills. • Strong affinity to the online industry and Advertising business models. • Passion and enthusiasm: willing to do every day what it takes to get the job done. • Ability to handle work in a fast-paced environment and to work with international teams. • Open and flexible attitude to execute tasks at every level. • Applicants must have a strong sense of humor and sound judgment. • International experience is a plus.
