"Looking for a Data Warehouse Analyst in Newark, DE PRIMARY FUNCTION: The development and oversight of management processes for data related to all areas of service within the Center for Heart and Vascular Health (H&V) to facilitate operational and research needs. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Establishes and enforces data warehousing standards to support operational reporting and research for the Center for Heart and Vascular Health. - Designs and writes reports using data available in data warehouse models, as it relates to the needs of H&V. - Assists with the changing of existing data warehouse and data mart models or development of new models to support new or expanded data content. - Works with the business and clinicians, IT staff and team members to understand business processes and use this knowledge to translate into a design and requirements, and the development and implementation of solutions. - Determines the Center for Heart and Vascular Health report strategy, participates on team to select tools and techniques, including data cleansing tools, data naming standards and/or data management systems to provide the solution to data and issues or other matters of significance to meet the defined business needs. - Develops solutions to address data quality issues. - Ensures quality deliverables through unit testing, participation in quality assurance reviews and other quality control processes. - Estimates time and cost to develop reports and other data related solutions. - Looks for opportunities to improve the utilization of data in the various H&V data subject areas - Conducts research into new data that is currently not in the data warehouse and recommends changes for data warehouse adoption. - Assists in defining overall data architecture for the Heart & Vascular data warehouse. - Documents tasks for end-users, technical, and managerial review to ensure high quality customer service. - Resolves problems, makes effective modifications, and provides ongoing support to production systems. - Leads the development of data interfaces, queries, reports and dashboards for the Center for Heart and Vascular Health Creates and maintains data loading processes and address related data integrity issues Participates in development, implementation, and administration of data cleansing processes - Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle - requirements analysis, development, testing, and implementation - Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors. - Performs other related duties as required.
