"Our client is one of the leading Construction companies in Saudi Arabia. An expanding company with a strong reputation and an excellent organization to be part of. We are now looking for an experienced Workshop Manager / Service Manager to head up their team based in tax free Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. OVERVIEW OF ROLE Handling the smooth running of a fleet of over 100 vehicles including trucks, heavy equipment and plant vehicles KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for the efficient and effective management of the workshops activities including facilities, workshop expansion and other operational activities & Transport. • In coordination with logistics and Project Managers control and monitor utilization of plant, equipment and vehicles to maximize efficient utilization and distribution of resources and ensure speedy execution of works as per schedule. • To coordinate for the plant, equipment and Vehicles deployment at various sites and workshop Manpower Requirement. • To repair and maintain, ensure trouble free running of all equipment and Vehicles deployed at plant & workshop or various sites by arranging quick evaluation and repair in case of breakdowns / repairs. • Prepare preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment in consultation with Construction Manager and carry out the maintenance program without hampering operational requirement in order to prevent major breakdowns and in the event of major breakdown of equipment, arrange repairs at central workshop. • Manage and control day-to-day activities to meet quality requirements within the budget and timescales, providing regular feedback on order status. • Recommend to Management phasing out of old, uneconomical and unusable equipment and replace them with new • Arrange for the regular evaluation, testing and training of operators and drivers coordinate with HR Department for employee evaluation. • Plant, machinery and Vehicles maintenance and keeping proper record of equipment. • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary production theory and practice and provide suitable interpretation to management and staff. • To ensure the department runs profitably by keeping the costs and downtime of equipment to the minimum.
