"Summary/Overall Purpose of Role: The Technical Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for providing technical Training and assistance on all company range of product installed and/or configured on any supported Windows platforms Duties & Responsibilities: A primary focus for this role will be to transfer knowledge to the Cork TS teams (as well as to Technical Account Managers from other company locations where necessary) in the following technologies: Network, Windows, Linux, VMware, along with others once training is provided.As well as preparing, delivering and assessing the ongoing TOI/training sessions, the Technical Learning and Development Specialist will focus on the following areas: Technical Induction Lab setup Training gap analysis for new and existing resources Practical Lab sessions Potential test for engineers/TAM Monitoring the success and impact of the role by using an agreed set of objectives Feedback to Management Understanding real time customers and engineers challenges by handling cases where necessary Personal Development Assist R&D with documentation Qualifications/Professional Certifications: Education in technical field, and/or industry certifications are advantageous Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, FTP protocols Troubleshooting skills in multi application environments Understanding of Virtualization Windows Server Administration Linux O/S Language: Excellent level of English (both written and spoken) Understanding of SLO’s Ability to document knowledge with view to assisting colleagues in the following areas : Network, Linux, Windows, VMware. Experienced Required: Minimum of 5 years + proven experience gained in a post sales/network administration or customer support background.
