"Currently we have an opening for IP Product Manager in Lagos, Nigeria and it’s a 1 to 2 year fixed term contract GENERAL SUMMARY: The IP Product manager will be responsible for business development and presale activities of IP Product revenue and market share in Nigeria. Works with the sales staff as the partner, developing pre-sales product market analysis, generating strategy and plan, pricing. Develops business plans marketing strategy, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Understanding customer's network environment and deployment plan to provide customized solution and product recommendations. The Product manager will be working with customer for product introduction/presentation, RFI/RFP response, network configuration, product lab testing and field trial management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develops specific marketing plans and activities for IP product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. • Develops business plans and product positioning in the market place. • Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. • Establishes pricing strategies. • Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products. • Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with IP product line objectives. • Works with IP engineering, service, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing IP product(s) or product line(s). • Familiar with Nigerian IP market and industry, competitors and strategy • May perform other duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Certifications/Licensures: Minimum: B.S. in Electrical, Telecommunication or Computer Engineering, or Equivalent Preferred: M.S. in Electrical, Telecommunication or Computer Engineering Relevant Work Experience: Minimum: 5 years working experience in Engineering with at least 3 years working experience in Pre-Sales and/or Product Marketing Preferred: 8+ years of Product Management Skills (Technical or General): Minimum: Strong Telecommunications background, especially working experience in the field of IP Routers, Lanswitch, Metro Ethernet or Wireless Backhaul. Quick learner and self-starter, with a willingness to dive in and learn everything required to be successful on the job. Willingness to take ownership of deployments and make them successful. Must have a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently is an asset.
