Job Title: Vice President, Technology Job Summary: The Vice President, Technology is one of the senior most Technology roles within Sapient blending delivery, operations, people management and growth, and business development. In particular we are looking for a person who brings expertise in designing and delivering complex enterprise level systems with knowledge of large scale Ecommerce system builds preferable. The Vice President should bring a unique blend of experience and expertise encompassing technical architecture and design combined with exceptional project/ program and people management skills. The proven ability to interact, communicate and influence at the Executive level is critical to success in this role. This person will provide vision and leadership to teams as well as providing advice and expertise to clients. The Vice President will demonstrate a broad technical knowledge preferably including technologies such as Websphere and/or ATG and various Content Management technologies such as Interwoven and Vignette. This person will still be passionate about technology even though they operate mainly in an Executive capacity. The Vice President will work with the Business lead to establish goals and priorities and will work with Client Executives to expand the portfolio. As a critical part of the Sapient organization the Vice President, Technology will visibly participate in the growth of the organization. Key Responsibilities include: Owns key communications with clients’ executive teams regarding technical issues and acts in an advisory capacity to both clients and Sapient teams Will own communications with CIO level Manage a team of over 100 in a globally distributed environment Ultimate responsibility for the technical delivery of multiple multi million dollar projects in any given year Will use past experience to deliver high transaction Ecommerce solutions to Fortune 500 companies Contributing towards improving Sapient’s delivery capability Drive compliance on “institutionalized” processes Coaching & mentoring of team members Works with the client and delivery teams and takes on a “hands-on” approach to identify and suggest approaches to resolve any technical issues as they arise.
