This position will report directly to the General Counsel and is ideal for an attorney who wants to apply their legal talent inside an entrepreneurial company, while growing as a business leader. Responsibilities include: · Negotiating and drafting a broad range of commercial contracts, including: major licensing deals with Fortune 500 companies, in-bound software licensing agreement, NDAs, and critical vendor and supplier agreements · Reviewing and ensuring compliance with third party and open source licenses · Helping to manage and grow company’s patent and trademark portfolio · Working closely with the management team on a variety of strategic transactions · Providing legal advice at all levels of the company, including senior management. · Oversee contract management function for the legal department Qualifications: · 3-5 years of general corporate experience, with particular focus in the high tech space at a major law firm and/or in-house · J.D. with excellent academic credentials · Member of Massachusetts bar in good standing · Proven experience negotiating and closing commercial contracts · Some background in IP and manufacturing is preferred · Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment · Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills · Highly organized and detail oriented · Strong business judgment · Familiarity with SharePoint a plus"
