This position will report daily to the Industrial Controller. Your key directive will be cost accounting and having a pulse on accounting objectives for continuous improvement and innovation. Daily you will compare and analyze performance to operation plans and standards; create and update production costs, analyze monthly variance between standard and actual costs at the plant level; establish and implement a sound operational and financial plan; evaluate inventory analysis and conduct inventory reconciliation; monitor key performance indicator in the plant and make recommendations and to improve productivity; analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates. This position will interact with production on a daily basis to continuously improve cost manufacturing initiatives. Candidates should feel comfortable on the manufacturing floor up to 20% of their day. This is a full time opening on days. Qualified candidates should be aggressive, dynamic, good presenters, confident, and reliable; team oriented and exhibit good work history. This position requires individuals to have the desire to improve processes and analyze numerical data. The company does offer medical benefits, short term and long term disability, vacation, holidays and 401K. REQUIREMENTS for the Industrial Cost Accountant: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting required 2. A minimum of 2 years in a similar role 3. Manufacturing cost accounting experience 4. Familiarity with BOMs (Bill of Materials) 5. Familiarity with reading blueprints 6. Experience working in ERP or MRP environments 7. 10-15% travel; including international travel 8. Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook and an expert level in Microsoft Excel Skills preferred but NOT required: 1. Vantage software 2.
