View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/pvDakq Job Description: The Loan Information Specialist is responsible for identifying and cultivating small businesses and nonprofit organizations loan leads in rural target markets in Alabama’s Black Belt. He/she will work closely with key area stakeholders and borrowers to identify loan needs. Under the direct supervision of the Loan Officer, the Loan Information Specialist will work closely with the business development staff to analyze, and produce high quality loans which meet the guidelines while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities: Marketing/Outreach • Cultivates relationships with business referral sources; • Cultivates new referral opportunities in target rural underserved markets; • Cultivates opportunities for other members of the Seedco Financial business development team to respond to and to present loan services, products and technical assistance resources to prospective borrowers, community organizations, banks and government agencies; • Maintains a high degree of visibility for the company in the rural community; and • Responds to referrals (internal and external) in a timely, professional manner. Loan Origination • Provides information to potential borrowers on information needed and assist loan officer gather personal information about clients, businesses and not-for-profits to submit loan applications; • Assists with packaging loan documents and submit to loan officer for review and submission to underwriting; and • Respond to customer requests in a timely, professional manner within 48 hours. Qualifications: • B.S./B.A preferred; • A minimum 6 months + of lending experience preferred; • Strong financial skills and ability to develop and interpret financial statements applied to business accounting and finance principle are required; • Must be proficient in Windows based software; • Superior analytical skills are required; • Must possess the ability to meet performance goals; and • Knowledge of rural market including financial institutions, local government, and community organizations; and an understanding of local priorities, opportunities and challenges is preferred."
