Bridge your career to the next level, and experience the ultimate employment experience for yourself.   Currently, we are seeking a Manager – Decision Support Systems for a 6-month right-to-hire opportunity with our Conshohocken, PA area customer. Candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Healthcare Cost Accounting or Reimbursement systems, as well as a BS degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline. Candidates will have demonstrated advanced/superior personal computing skills with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Access, SQL experience, and MS Project experience. A sound understanding of Decision Support Systems such as McKesson HPM, Trendstar, Medassets Alliance, ESPI, or TSI is a must. Strong analytical, problem solving and Project Management skills are also required.   Candidates will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of Cost Accounting/Decision Support System for up to 12 hospitals in the Delaware Valley region. Candidates will manage and analyze the preparation of P&L reports on a semi-annual basis. Candidates will also manage the work of 2 regional Service Coordinators and 4 Analysts. Candidates will provide update support for all managed care contracts maintained in Pathways Contract Modeling system, known as P-Mod. In addition, candidates will aid in the identification and quantification of payer underpayments and overpayments, and serve as a liaison to System Services and Hospital Departments.   Candidates will be required to operate, support, and maintain an internal Decision Support System (DSS) on an on-going basis. Additional responsibilities will include:   · On an on-going basis, assess and encourage additional uses of the decision support system, including Budget Preparation & Support and the continuum of care reporting. Develop a working relationship with vendors and networks with other DSS-focused clients to extend and maximize the system's use within our customer · Oversee the cost accounting module and expected reimbursement calculations within the DSS. Develop audit trail and review procedures to insure the accuracy / integrity of all cost and reimbursement data within the system. Assure, where possible, the integrity of other integrated data · Notify DSS users, monthly or quarterly, of reports/data availability and provide written overview/narrative of findings · Develop and execute an on-going schedule to review standards/relative value units for all departments · Develop and cross train service coordinators/analysts on all aspects of DSS - direct them through rotating intervals where each is responsible for all issues associated with one hospital, while reviewing the work related to one other hospital (as completed by one of the analysts)   Candidates will also be expected to handle the following:   · Management and analysis regarding the preparation of P&L reports · Provide support for managed care contract analysis/modeling · Management payer underpayment review · Perform a detailed review of managed care reserves needed on the financial statements · Analysis and recommendation related to charge description matter · Analysis of payer denials and downgrades · Analyze the financial... http://bull.hn/l/FFQI/5"
