Research Manager – Associate Director, Qualitative research (Singapore or split Singapore/Shanghai) Salary flexible for the right person plus excellent benefits "This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is genuinely passionate about understanding the Chinese consumer, but doesn’t want to compromise their research experience by solely focusing on one market. Based in Singapore or Shanghai, this role will encompass both Greater China and South East Asia research. This agency is a non-traditional boutique who offers cutting edge research and consultancy with a focus on innovation, strategy and communications. While the primary focus of this role is Qual, you will also be exposed to a mix of methodologies including Quant and desk research. The agency in question is very highly regarded in the work they do and currently service some of the biggest global brands across a variety of sectors including FMCG, healthcare and technology. To apply for the role, you must be an experienced moderator (probably about 4-8 years’ experience) with the ability to moderate in Mandarin. While there is the flexibly to be based in Singapore or Shanghai, please note that the successful candidate will be required to travel to China frequently to moderate focus groups. We feel the role would the following types of candidates: 1. Those who are based in Singapore but looking for more opportunities to travel to China and gain more exposure to the Chinese consumer; OR 2. Those currently based in China who are looking to get more exposure to SEA markets - part of the role will focus on managing and delivering research projects at a regional level where China comprises only a small part of the final report This role would suit someone looking to join a small agency that does things differently and has a more entrepreneurial working environment.
