Support, train, coach and direct his or her assigned work team to execute operational plans. Drive continuous improvement while sustaining effective associate relationships. Act as a “change agent” to help improve overall operational procedures, efficiencies, and employee relations. Oversee daily operation processes of this manufacturing facility in a manner that promotes associate safety, housekeeping, efficiency, productivity, teamwork, environmental compliance and standard operating principles & practices. Provide hands-on interaction with the production processes and the hourly workforce to meet established production and shipping schedules, develop subordinate personnel, and maintain quality standards. Instill shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among production associates. Achieve relevant Safety, Quality and Productivity performance objectives. Work multiple tasks concurrently, even with competing targets, to meet specific goals, objectives, and timelines. Monitor, evaluate and report performance daily on using the Shop Floor Management tools.   Requirements College degree is preferred - A combination of education, training and job experience is acceptable.   5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations. 2+ years in a Management or Leadership role. Metal processing, Metalworking, and/or Chemical processing environments would be ideal.    Union experience is preferred but not required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and then take decisive action.
