Location- Colonial Hts VA Salary- $50-$60K (3-5yrs exp) or $60-$70K(5-10Yrs exp) Our client supplies fully integrated, turnkey systems for applications to “load flexible bags and hard to handle packages into secondary containers, such as cases, trays, cartons, crates etc.” The total system takes control of the package as soon as it leaves the Form, Fill & Seal operation and can take it all the way through to (and even including) Palletizing. Furthermore they supply vision guided robotics applied to packaging, processing and product assembly in the consumer goods industry. This technology applies to automation opportunities where the incoming product is randomly oriented and needs to be vision inspected. Position Description Summary: This position serves a dual role, that of pre-order Applications Engineer. This position is responsible to lead the technical sales effort in solution development by applying technical product knowledge and strong selling skills to assist the outside sales force in closing profitable orders, provides technical field support to Account Managers, gives customer presentations, and other duties that may be required to facilitate selling solution based systems. This position is responsible for the implementation of a seamless, profitable, and on-time project through various project management functions. These include managing internal and external customer needs (pro-actively, not re-actively), monitoring engineering and production schedules and anticipating issues, handling day to day communications with customers, and controlling scope to ensure profitable on time deliveries. Physical Requirements: The position requires sitting for extended periods of time, lifting of samples weighing up to 30 lbs., eyesight for looking at computer screens, and traveling by car or air as required.
