The companys structures offer longer-lasting performance than traditional wood structures, the ability to support increased carrying capacity, lower long-term maintenance costs and the widest range of aesthetics. SALARY $60-$65K OPEN FOR RELOCATION Job Summary: Responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of assigned skilled personnel engaged in plant operations including cutting, breaking, tacking, longseaming, welding, hardware fabrication and installation, finishing, loading and material handling. Reports directly to the Production Manager. Major Responsibilities/Activities (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job): • Oversees and coordinates activities and personnel of assigned department(s), with all Production Supervisors. • Ensures satisfactory quality and quantity of work for assigned department(s). • Controls the flow of production, costs and hours, establishes schedules, and writes necessary reports and records. • Works with all facility supervisors, and HR/Safety Manager in the preparation of instructions and training of employees on safety, skills and quality. • Ensures fair and equitable treatment of all employees under his/her supervision. • Accounts for efficiency and productivity levels to meet corporate objectives. • Reports to Production Manager on general progress of daily production, shipments and areas of concern. • Coordinates and communicates production priorities and employee availability plans with other shift supervisors. • Maintains adequate backlog in advance of operations supervised to achieve quotas and smooth production flow. • Works with Maintenance Department to coordinate repair and maintenance in accordance with production requirements. • Consults with Quality Control Department and Production Manager on a daily basis to ensure early detection of probable areas of concern. • Supervises the safe and efficient operation of all units in the department under direction of the Production Manager in accordance with departmental objectives and operating plans. • Ensures that all employees comply with policies and regulations according to safety, ISO, OSHA and any applicable Company policies and procedures. Basic Qualifications (Include education, experience, special skills and licenses or certifications required): • Bachelors Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 to 10 years manufacturing/production supervisory experience. • CWS Certification preferred. ● Experience and knowledge of welding methods as required by ASME, AWS, and API. Preferred Qualifications: ● Strong proven manufacturing supervisory skills. ● Ability to train, instruct and motivate employees. ● Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. ● Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Additional Comments: ● 8 to 10 hours of sitting standing, walking & squatting ● Exposure to magnetic fields while in plant facility ● Safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, hearing protection, and any other OSHA required PPE while in the plant.
