"Top-tier financial services firm is seeking a compliance officer who will report to the head of Gifts & Entertainment Compliance. As part of the G&E team, this position is primary responsible for maintaining, promoting, and improving the risk management and control program related to the regulatory requirements around gifts & entertainment in the Americas region. This role will focus primarily on surveillance and monitoring in compliance with the provisions of the firm’s Global Gifts and Entertainment Policy. Responsibilities include: • Participate in the day-to-day operations of the G&E team; • Develop and perform surveillance monitoring on reports from various firm systems to ensure compliance with the Global Gifts & Entertainment Policy. • Escalate potential policy violations to management, including senior management. • Notify employees of policy violations and take appropriate action as directed by management. • Create G&E violation reports as requested by management. • Assist with G&E records checks in support of business unit in response to regulatory inquiries and US state and local RFPs, reporting requirements and records inquiries. • Help address G&E requests and policy inquiries that arise. • Participate in the delivery of training, process improvement and systems development related to G&E activities. • Assist in special projects and provide other support to the G&E team as needed (e.g., management information reporting.
