"Project Manager Intermediate Locations: Littlerock, AR or Woodlands, TX or New Orleans, LA or Jackson, MS Remote Option available, if remote - 75%-99% onsite Duration: Contract to Hire Salary: $50/hr 1099 Must be U.S Citizen/Green Card Holder Job Description: • Responsible for administering several key project management processes as part of the program's project office. • This includes managing the monthly EPMO reporting cycle which requires close coordination with the PSO manager, project controllers, project manager, project portfolio managers and the projects director. • The above responsibility is part time. The remaining time will be spent managing projects. • The Project Manager shall work with their Manager and a matrix team including client’s resources as well to achieve the deliverables defined within projects assigned. • Responsibilities include the entire lifecycle of the project from initiation to closure. Management of cost and schedules to low earned value variances is expected. • The PM is responsible for documentation and customer interaction during the project lifecycle. Customer satisfaction is a major expectation within the Program. • The majority of the project effort will be focused on Infrastructure related projects. Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field with 8+ years of experience working on projects and programs, with at least 2 years serving successfully in positions as task lead experience. Strong communication skills: writing, listening, speaking, comfortable communicating in front of all levels within the organizational boundaries including customers. • Has the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers or team members. • Experience providing status reporting to customers or high levels of management. • Analytical skills, able to define root cause, decipher through multiple factors pertaining to issues. Desired Skills: • PMP Certification. • Software Development or Infrastructure background. • Knowledge of Utility industry business processes and practices. • .NET experience and SQL Server experience is a plus.
