"Position: SQL Server DBA Location: N. Miami Beach Type: Fulltime, permanent Additional Information: Benefits Description: Our client, a licensed Energy Service Company, is looking for a SQL Server DBA. Responsibilities: • Manage databases and SSRS security; • Manage databases backups; • Plan disaster recovery to quickly restore business functionality after hardware failure or in the event of a natural disaster; • Manage the update of tables, views, referential integrity rules and stored procedures in the production environment from developer code; • Enforce naming and other standards to all database objects; • Daily monitoring of SQL jobs and database resources; Requirements: • Experience managing Microsoft SQL Servers including Standard and Enterprise editions (3+ years) • Experience with SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2, 64bit edition • Experience with Win Servers 2003 and 2008. • Experience with MS Access with the ability to maintain, manage, upsize and control production Access DBs • Experience designing and managing a replication strategy when the need arises • Experience managing database tuning and maintenance plans; • Experience with source control systems such as Visual Source Safe or SVN; • Experience with MS Access and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
