RESPONSIBILITIES • designing, developing and refactoring high performing, scalable applications used in Claims Operations • Responsible for technical delivery of development projects • Collaborate and Maintain peer relationship with cross functional technology, solutions and users of application • Demonstrate advanced expertise in programming techniques, system analysis, documentation standards and unit testing • Create and Maintain appropriate systems and user documentation • Collaborate with solutions and business users to effectively prioritize development activities within resource constrains • Diagnose, Troubleshoot and fix production problems as they arise by brainstorming best possible solution understanding impact of system downtime and SLA • Evaluate and Adapt to new technologies and toolsets as needed BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Deep understanding of Software Engineering principles • 3+ yrs - Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall project methodologies • Experience in converting or migrating VB COM and Oracle Forms applications to ASP.NET • 4+ yrs -SQL Server 2K and 2008 t-SQL and Oracle 10g • Proven Data Design, Modeling and Analytics techniques • 4+ yrs -designing and developing SQL Server Stored Procedures and Functions and SQL Server Integration Services • 5+ yrs -building applications using Visual Studio .NET • 5+ yrs -in programming languages specifically C#/.NET 3.5 , web programming using ASP.NET 3.5, CSS, HTML, JQuery and AJAX toolsets • 2+ yrs -developing and supporting Web Services as a producer and consumer using Windows Communication Foundation • 1+ yrs -building manual and automated work queue management using Windows Workflow Foundation • 3+ yrs -cross cutting concern using Enterprise Library framework • 4+ yrs -Data technologies using ADO.NET and LINQ to SQL • 2+ yrs -ORM like Entity Framework or NHibernate • 2+ yrs -Dependency Injection and IoC using Unity or similar toolsets PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation and Silverlight, Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2008 and 2010, Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration toolsets, C#/.NET 4.0, , Business Objects XI, SOA and BPM toolsets, Windows AppFabric, and Integrating with MQ Series COMPANY DESCRIPTION Genworth Financial, Inc.
