Primary Responsibilities

The Systems Administrator ensures all aspects of True North's database systems development and production are operating efficiently.

  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
  • Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation
  • SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation
  • Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, and minimum of 3 years of experience in successfully maintaining a multi-platform network integrated environment
  • Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoft
  • Experience with a project that grew in size and required additional hardware for scalability preferred
  • Must live in or relocate to the Chattanooga, Tenn., area
