The role will report to the COO. The Manager is responsible for implementing and directing the risk management framework at the firm, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments, key risk indicators, risk reporting, escalating operational risk events, money market fund net asset value escalation, money market fund stress testing, and reconcilement monitoring. Other responsibilities include: · Advise senior management on the risks of new products, new processes, new business acceptance, and new strategic initiatives. · Facilitate the analysis and implementation of new controls following operational risk events, missteps by competitors, or in response to detailed process reviews conducted by members of the Risk Management Department. · Meeting with clients and prospects to describe the firms risk management processes. · Coordinate the firm’s response to Corporate Risk initiatives, scenario analyses, and certain regulatory inquiries and examinations. · Responsible for understanding and monitoring trends and changes to the risk based economic capital allocated to the firm as a part of the firm’s Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP). · Responsible for continuous monitoring and assessment of the firm’s risk exposures and the strength of the control environment. Qualifications: · Minimum of 10 years operational risk management experience. · Asset Management background · Masters or Law Degree. · Managing a small staff; must be senior enough to deal with top management.
