"Position: Sr .Net Developer Location: Tallahassee, FL Start Date: ASAP Type: Contract on 1099 Est. Duration of the 1st stage: 1 year (possible extension) Description: Our Client is a state agency, which is currently looking for a Sr .Net Developer. Responsibilities: • Mentor staff in the use of .Net, Visual Studio, SQL Server and Oracle; • Work closely with business analysts, software architects, software developers, project managers and customers to develop documented business requirements and technical specifications; • Develop and modify project and technical documentation as required; • Develop .Net web, smart client, and console applications, based on the Department’s existing .Net enterprise framework, that meet the needs of defined business requirements and technical specifications; • Participate in agile development teams; • Provide software maintenance for existing .Net applications; • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repairing existing .Net applications. Requirements: • Experience working as a technical team lead (2+ years); • Experience coaching/mentoring other developers with Microsoft technologies; • Experience with developing database driven web applications; • Experience with developing database driven web applications in Microsoft C#.Net environment; • Experience with SQL Server; • Experience with Oracle; • Experience with object oriented development techniques; • Experience with 3-tiered logical/physical architected applications; Preferred Requirements: • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services; • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services to support ETL processing; • Experience with agile development techniques; • Experience working with users to gather and document business requirements; • Experience with automated unit testing; • Experience with Model-View-Presenter Pattern; • Experience working for government agency.
