"Our client, a U.S. branch office of a European based top bank, seeks an anti-money laundering compliance manager. The person will be involved with all facets of anti-money laundering and they will be managing a small team of AML professionals. Responsibilities: The Anti-Money Laundering and KYC Manager will assist in defining and then implementing a process through which the Relationship Managers will: * Create KYC files, in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures, for all new customers * Review existing KYC customer files on a periodic basis and update them, as necessary. This individual will supervise a staff of up to four individuals, who will have direct responsibility for file review. * All KYC files will undergo a quality control check by an independent unit within the firm * Preparing files that pass this quality check within time frames established by the firm is the primary measure of success for the KYC Middle Office. * In addition to assisting the RMs to prepare and review KYC files, the Head of the KYC Middle Office will serve as the representative of the RMs for all matters related to the KYC Program. This individual will be expected to offer substantive input into all relevant KYC processes. Qualifications: The firm seeks someone with 7-10 plus years of compliance experience. They should have experience in preparing or reviewing KYC files in a front-office, corporate banking environment.
