ETL consultant with EII experience in Philadelphia, PA Title: DW/ETL consultant with EII experience Start Date: 7/23 Duration / Extension: 3+ months with project scoped out at over 1 year Location: Philadelphia, PA area Project: The team is building out their BI environment on OBIEE 11 and they need a resource that will help set up the ETL environment and pull data from multiple data sources using ODI and will sort the data into a EDW or data mart depending on the reporting needs. The client is looking for a strong DW/ETL developer with dimensional modeling experience/understanding to assist with this effort. Experience with large data sets and performance tuning required; experience with data federation/EII/data virtualization is strongly desired. This resource must have worked in a production environment, troubleshooting experience is a must. This person will provide application and infrastructure support with new development. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Create and manage the data strategy and roadmap to influence IT and Line of Business decision making. Demonstrates comprehensive experience and skill of Data Warehousing technologies and practices necessary to negotiate and persuade technology direction on topics such as ETL, Business Intelligence, and similar topics. Exhibit a thorough understanding of enterprise data integration technologies (ETL, EAI, EII) and their future technology direction. Provide improved data integration direction between Enterprise Data Warehousing and Transactional applications. Prepares detailed specifications, diagrams, and other programming structures from which programs are written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents moderately to highly complex ETL programs, in addition to performing advanced application maintenance tasks.
