We are looking for a Mining Engineer professional with a passion for best practice and health & safety to work on an iron ore project either located in Northern Quebec or Newfoundland and Labrador. Required Experience: Deliver schedules to Operations to allow then to deliver in a timely manner Develop and deliver timely and accurate reports as required by the Superintendent and other relevant business departments  Assist the Superintendent to prepare the Annual Budget Assist with maintaining the operational system to improve equipment downtime and maximise utilisation Develop and deliver timely and accurate reports as required by the Superintendent and other relevant business departments Communicate with staff to ensure any work has minimal impact on production targets Identify opportunities with direct reports for career development through transfer of knowledge, allocation of work and monitoring the progress of work Liaise closely with other sections and their Superintendents, whose activities impact on Operational and Maintenance Performance, ensuring effective management of all interactions Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers and customers Qualifications: Must have a degree in Mining Engineering Minimum 5 year experience in mining and mineral projects To Apply: Individuals meeting the criteria above are encouraged to submit their resume, with cover letter to Lisa Thiess, by emailing lthiess@dg.ca or call 514.793.4814.
