"Due to substantial growth in their online offer, my client have a great opportunity for an Application Support Engineer Manager. Job purpose: Position open for a Full-Time Application Support Engineer Manager who will provide day-to-day technical support, capture and manage support tickets in the support tool for software issues faced by the client. Must have the ability to understand technical details and troubleshoot software issues. Must be able to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel of his/her team. Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently To be responsible for the design, delivery, support and continual improvement of the application delivery environments, including but not limited to user facing websites, core system services, APIs and bespoke software. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Manage application availability and operations: Manage the deployment of websites, web applications and services; Implement automated deployment systems and package management processes; Coordinate and supervise all application support including tracking of bugs and defects; Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure SLAs are met; Liaise with the offshore Development and QA team in order to address bugs, defects and projects; Manage allocated resources: Manage Application Teams (Application Delivery, Application Support and DBA); Ensure systems are correctly maintained; Manage downtime appropriately with minimal business impact; Plan and participate in projects, ensuring adequate reporting; Work with Project Managers within project framework in order to achieve goals; Design and implement strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements; Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for infrastructure administration; Report on activities to the IT Operations and Infrastructure Director. Requirements: o At least 1-2 years’ experience in technical support or help desk; o Strong background in IIS, .NET, PHP and deployment automation tools; o Demonstrable experience in SQL and MySQL; o Experience in ITIL, end-to-end support and/or related methodologies; o Knowledge of development tools e.g. JIRA, Visual Studio and Bugzilla; o Experience working with distributed systems; o Ability to interpret and debug complex logfiles; o Experience with WebMethods/ESB platforms; o Deep understanding and experience of web hosting and server environments; o Exceptional people management and organisational skills; o Relevant degree and education. Previous experience in working for an Online Gaming company mandatory. Permanent position for every nationality. Location: Taiwan. Language: English Fluent.
