PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER in Bangalore, India PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER       Principal Duties and Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                 This position requires a high level of hands on and understanding of HPUX internals and kernel debugging skills. The ideal candidate should be able to work under minimal direction and exercising considerable latitude providing technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. The responsibilities include taking ownership of UNIX part of the product, design/develop and verify various enhancements for the product. The position also needs to strong expertise in debugging and troubleshooting kernel issues. We work in a geographically dispersed environment and the right candidate for this position should have excellent verbal and written communication skills to drive home his/her point and discuss issues in team meetings. This position offers a great opportunity to folks looking at enhancing their knowledge and experience in HPUX internals/storage stack and learning with some of the best established brains in this area. Skill Required:   Strong hands on programming skills in C Strong knowledge of  HPUX Internals Experience in multi-threaded and multi-process environments and/or user space interfaces and/or kernel development Must be conversant in kernel dump analysis Debugging skills and hands on with platform specific debuggers. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Should be technically sound in resolving issues and implementing product enhancements   Desired Skills:   Experience in Storage Area Networks, Fiber Channel, iSCSI,  Storage Management Software and/or Storage Arrays End to end product development experience Hands on with software configuration management tool like Clear case/CVS   http://bull.hn/l/11C5O/5"
