"Job: Senior Software Engineer-Level Escalation Eng in Bangalore, India Position Description: Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to have an in-depth understanding of the product and solution, guide the team on RCA and resolution of customer escalations. Work with geographically distributed team. Represent Engineering in Customer activities, working closely with cross functional groups. The candidates will be required to: -        Have an in-depth knowledge of the product and ecosystem architecture, design and internals -        Handle customer escalations into Engineering to determine root cause, workaround, and corrective actions -        Assess the quality of the product, identify requirements for the product and recommend steps for improving processes and testing on an ongoing basis -        Identify and Develop debugging tools/scripts -        Work independently as well as within a team environment, leading and supporting other individual members in their efforts and mentoring junior members of the team -        Provide technical input and make good technical decisions and complete tasks & assignments under only general direction and minimal supervision -        Recognize problems that need further investigation, seek assistance when needed, demonstrate self-initiative and self-motivation Education/Skills: -        Strong experience in SAN, Storage and Virtualization Solutions -        Experience in debugging and internal knowledge of major host operating systems (Solaris, Windows, Linux, HP/UX, VMware, AIX) -        Proven expertise in C/C++ and scripting languages -        Experience doing systems analysis and root cause -        Understanding of Fibre Channel and SCSI Protocols·          Non-technical Skills: As the candidate will be exposed to customer activity and engineering coordination, they must have the following non-technical skills: -        Proven ability to translate technical details into customer consumable communications -        Strong written and verbal skills -        Strong set of problem solving and analytical skills -        Ability to work independently, within and across teams -        A strong sense of process, detail and follow-through -        Ability to multi-task across problem domains and various contexts -        Ability to work effectively in a large geographically distributed team -        Resourceful and undaunted in the face of challenges   http://bull.hn/l/11C9C/2"
