The Epic HIM Analyst is responsible for the Build, Testing and Training and support of the client's EPIC HIM systems. The HIM Analyst reports directly to the HIM Team leader and implements the work of the project as directed by leadership. The Epic HIM Analyst will ensure the optimal system build and use functions to support the HIM department and workflow. Job summary: ' Execute build activities for assigned area and ensure the build complies with Epic build guidelines and design decisions ' Work with end users to validate system design and identify additional requirements for successful adoption/use ' Participate in workflow design and understand how the system will impact end users ' Through the implementation process become proficient with host applications, touch points with other applications and interface requirements Requirements: ' Previous Epic experience and/or Epic certification in HIM Deficiency Tracking, Release of Information, Coding & Abstracting, and/or Identity is mandatory for consideration ' Health information management experience with electronic medical record systems ideal. ' Knowledge of coding, documentation procedures, and HIPAA Privacy operations desired. *One to three years previous experience with healthcare information systems or electronic medical records. ' Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Education / Certification: ' Minimum of an Associate degree - Bachelor's degree preferable ' Epic Certification in any of the Following: HIM Deficiency Tracking, Release of Information, Coding & Abstracting, Identity. ' RHIA or RHIT or eligible preferred. ' Preferred Skills: Quantim &/or 3M encoder, revenue cycle, HIM operations. We are offering a $2000 referral fee for any leads which help us fill this opening.
