This is a senior level manager position on the Epic Team focusing on the support and optimization of our Epic system in a service line model serving both the inpatient and ambulatory areas. This position will manage 2 Supervisors and a staff of 12 - 14 analysts. Incumbent should have 3 - 5 years experience managing, supporting and/or implementing an EMR. Strong Epic experience is highly desired with competency in at least one module. Previous project management and Quality Improvement experience is desired. Job Duties 1. Manages one or more technically complex sections or divisions of Information Resources, utilizing effective management, communication, consulting, and customer service skills. 2. Develops, revises, implements, recommends, and interprets policies, procedures, and complex projects for sections(s) to ensure all applicable laws, governmental guidelines, and university policies are followed and that employees are treated in equitable manner. 3. Manages and coordinates various complex projects and development programs for section(s) by ensuring all tasks are completed within established deadlines. 4. Consults with campus departments in assessing complex technical requirements that meet needs of their operation. 5. Completes work specific to assigned section using appropriate advanced technologies and effective communication skills. 6. Performs other duties as required.
