View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/p54P7S Job Description: The Position Wellington Management Company, LLP is seeking a Quantitative Analyst with programming skills to focus on the Emerging Local Debt (ELD) investment process and risk management. The role of the Quantitative Analyst is to use quantitative techniques to identify investment opportunities and manage risk. The scope of the work may include any or all of the following: •Forecasting fundamental performance for various asset classes •Assessing security level structural integrity using both third party and proprietary tools •Developing hybrid fundamental and market driven valuation models •Determining relative value across sectors •Building scoring rules for ranking specific investment opportunities •Building surveillance process and return attribution models The Quantitative Analyst for ELD will work closely with the members of the Emerging Markets Debt (EMD) strategy group and with the EMD Research team. The Quantitative Analyst for ELD will also work with the Investment Systems Group in order to facilitate the development of systems that enhance the efficiency and scalability of the ELD investment process. For this position, the Analyst must have the ability to collaborate with others, perform focused pragmatic research, and most importantly develop production quality models that can be used by our investors. The candidate must have a talent for and interest in computer programming. Qualifications Ideal qualifications for this position would include, among others: •Minimum of four years of experience in fixed income •Proven programming and modeling skills •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills •Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment •PhD in Finance and/or MS in Financial Engineering, is a plus •Passion for markets and investments •Highly pragmatic and solutions-oriented attitude"
