"Top-tier financial services firm is seeking an Anti-Money Laundering Transaction Monitoring Analyst. Responsibilities include: Identify account transactions that suggest suspicions of money laundering, terrorist financing etc. Research unusual transactions via internet and other avenues and pass all transactions that deem to be non suspicious. Responsible for the appropriate collection and examination of documents to assist in identifying unusual transaction patterns. Document and report the investigation findings in the case management system Collaborate with the transaction monitoring team members regarding suspicious activities according to firm policy and ensure all documentation is followed up on and recorded properly in the department database Review and investigate all cases as well as assess cases for further investigation. Communicate regularly with business lines regarding source of funds, customer’s background, transaction activity according to KYC policies Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and recommend relationship retention or termination, and track account closures as required. Qualifications: • Ability to collaborate with individuals across business and/or functional lines required. Strong communication, interpersonal, change leadership, and relationship management skills. • Ability to "think out of the box" to identify new and valuable methods for approaching problems and projects. The candidate should have knowledge of the laws applicable to money laundering, to include the BSA, The Patriot Act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements.
