The design engineer will be responsible for the design and development of heavy equipment which includes rotating components. Hands-on management and direction of the design and development of these products would be required. This individual will work closely with lab technicians, manufacturing personnel and other engineering personnel to design prototypes and determine the manufacturability of new products. Candidates should feel comfortable overseeing multiple design projects and managing timelines. Additional requirements will include researching suppliers and overseeing testing of products. Candidates should enjoy working at their desk for the majority of their work day, but be open to hands-on capabilities on the shop floor. Qualified candidates should be forward thinking, able to work independently and on teams, flexible in their job requirements, have project management skills, be outgoing, have a stable work history, good work ethic and not be afraid to communicate at all levels. There is a competitive benefit package and a relocation package available for candidates with all of the required skill sets. Requirements for the Design Engineer: 1. A minimum of a 4-year degree in a technical field with at least 2 years of rotating equipment design OR a 2-year degree in a technical field with at least 4 years of rotating equipment design OR a high school diploma with at least 8 years of rotating equipment design 2. Experience designing rotating equipment (examples: generators, motors, pumps, engines or compressors) 3. Experience utilizing 3D modeling (example: Catia, Unigraphics, SolidWorks, etc.) 4. Microsoft Office Skills preferred, but NOT required: 1. SolidEdge 2. Project Management 3. FEA (Finite Element Analysis) 4. CF Design software This position is located within the Mansfield, Ohio area."
