The electrical engineer will report to the engineering manager and work with a team of manufacturing engineering professionals that focus on meeting production goals in a safe, quality driven environment. In this role you will be responsible for a specific area of the plant and be the electrical expert for that area. Within this area you will focus on Siemens PLC troubleshooting and programming; capital equipment projects which include the electrical design of motors, electrical panels, heaters, controls, etc.; electrical troubleshooting; documentation and cross training of the staff. This is a hands-on position that will require candidates to be on the floor up to 60% of the day. Candidates are required to have strong communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment that supplies to the automotive industry. This position does require candidates to be capable of process improvements, analytical thinking, strong problem solving, follow through on tasks and responsibilities, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible with work responsibilities. Candidates should be patient and able to communicate at all levels. This is a salaried position with medical, dental, vision, vacation, paid holidays, bonus and 401K. This is a day shift position that requires candidates to be open to working weekends and shutdowns as needed. REQUIREMENTS for the Electrical Engineer: 1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technologies 2. A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing electrical engineering experience 3. Siemans PLC troubleshooting and programming 4. Design of electrical components 5. Electrical troubleshooting 6. Design and troubleshooting of pneumatic controls 7. AutoCAD electrical 8. Microsoft Office Skills preferred but NOT required: 1. Lean or Six Sigma methodologies 2. Vision systems 3. Robotic troubleshooting and programming 4.
