As the engineering manager for production you will oversee manufacturing engineers in three different production areas. It will be your responsibility to oversee the manufacturing engineering process including new program launch, process design, production improvements, engineering projects, tooling troubleshooting, running trials, continuous improvement and scrap reduction, capital equipment projects and cost saving implementation. There will be a continued effort to improve current processes and decrease scrap. The engineering manager will also have budgeting and P&L responsibilities. This is a high exposure position with the opportunity to make a difference. This position requires someone whom enjoys floor presence, holding people accountable and leading by example. You should be able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment. REQUIREMENTS for the engineering manager (production): 1. 4 year degree with 4-5 years of manufacturing engineering management OR a 2 year degree with 8-10 years of manufacturing engineering management 2. Supervision experience of at least 3-5 people 3. Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities 4. Experience working in fast paced mass production environments 5. Project management skills 6. Process improvement skills 7. Microsoft office package. Word, Excel and Outlook. Skills preferred but not required: 1. Automotive supplier experience 2. Experience overseeing assembly or injection molding environments 3. Capital equipment projects 4.
