Directly aligns to businesses, with a technology team for each business. Delivers world class solutions in support of business strategies, through a combination of in-house systems development and working with leading technology partners. This group also manages core computing facilities, telecommunications and networks globally. Wholesale Banking Technology: is a global and business-aligned team which contributes to enhanced business performance by meeting all the technology needs of the Wholesale Banking lines of businesses. The team of development and management professionals provides application development and enhancement services, as well as production support and strategic planning support on a global scale. Relevant Job Criteria: .There are two full time positions available. Job Overview: Purpose of Job Reporting to the Director GL, Credit Risk, Collateral Management of Wholesale Banking Middle Office Technology, The candidate will participate in design, construct and implement applications to extract, transform and load data (ETL). Responsibilities Oversee new ETL development; ensure consistency and integration with existing ETL processes. Code, test, implement and maintain medium to highly complex ETL mappings and scripts to build and maintain automated etl processes. Plan and conduct ETL unit and development tests; monitor results and take corrective action. Develop logical and physical data flow models for ETL applications. Translate data access, transformation and movement requirements into functional requirements and mapping designs. Design automated processes to control data access, transformation and movement. CONTACTS: Business data consumers and report developers, peers (Senior ETL and SQL Developers), ETL architect, database administrators, data modelers, QA testers, business analysts, projects managers, line to middle IT Management. JOB COMPLEXITIES/CHALLENGES: Interpreting business transformation rules into ETL designs and documenting designs which include source-to-target mappings, transformation rules and multi-step data flows at a detail level in order to ensure adherence to standards and frameworks. Conducting research to understand the details around data issues and determine whether the root cause is the related to the ETL code, source data, or the physical database structure or content. Writing the process specifications to conform to standards and recommending the best options to use for the work requirements. Clearly identifying production changes and impacts in order to change ETL processes to confirm to the new business requirements while adhering to guidelines and standards. If the business request is in conflict with ETL guidelines and standards, the matter is escalated to the ETL architect for resolution. Business requirements for ETL can be dynamic if the system that sources the data is undergoing change. Validity of assumptions is critical to the quality of ETL design. Source systems tend to be large, complex and on disparate technologies. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment.
