The manufacturing engineer will report to the engineering manager and work in a team of 8 other engineers. The majority of the time you will be focused on engineering projects for manufacturing you will participate in time studies, process and cost improvements, scrap reduction and increasing production. When you are not focused on manufacturing engineering projects you will perform engineering projects including line layouts, design of equipment, vendor communication, new model process, improvement to current equipment including design of fixtures and jigs and overseeing multiple engineering projects. Design projects will be done in Solidworks and AutoCAD. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment that supplies multiple automotive OEMs, including 4 different Honda plants. This position does require candidates to be able to manage multiple projects, be analytical thinking, have strong problem solving skills, follow through on tasks and responsibilities, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible in work responsibilities. Candidates should be patient and able to communicate at all levels. Interested applicants should enjoy floor presence and have a hands-on attitude. REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Engineer: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical field, technology majors preferred 2. At least 1 years of similar work experience (coops and internships included) 3. Experience designing projects in AutoCAD 4. Experience designing projects in 3D programs 5. Process Improvements 6. Microsoft Office Skills preferred but NOT required: 1. Lean or Six Sigma methodologies 2. Plastics manufacturing 3. Solidworks 4.
