View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/k4gCCJ Job Description: The Marketing Manager, Promotions and Analytics is responsible for promotional strategy, marketing analytics, and business development, and the successful planning and execution of tactics that ensure maximum sales, AUR, and yield. Collaborate closely with Inventory Management to understand sales, discount, AUR and yield goals of the business and of key categories; effectively work with marketing and cross-functional partners to plan seasonal discount strategies. Responsibilities: - Create diligent contingency plans based on scenarios, and execute insights-driven in-season optimization - Partner with email lead to create strategies that deliver against business objectives and priorities - Lead all-channel (Bus dev, site, email) promotional analysis/marketing effectiveness to ensure profitability. - Manage alignment with Brand to maximize alignment and to ensure appropriate support of online initiatives - Work with multiple sources of data to identify opportunities to grow the business. - Develop high degree of familiarity/comfort with all sources of information that feed the database - Develop reporting tools, forecasting templates and effective archives to ensure effective consolidation of key metrics and learnings - Forecast and interpret key metrics to inform marketing strategies related to promotions and business development - Partner with Business Development team to ensure GOL marketing strategies and tactics are promoted through partnerships with portals, search vendors, affiliates, social media and content/blog sites; evaluate and report on major performance success stories and trends of these channels - Actively lead hind-sighting and competitive benchmarking to inform marketing strategies, seasonal program effectiveness, planning, campaign execution and process improvement. - Brief all promotions for email and site vehicles; review and provide feedback on creative Qualifications: - Very strong strategic and analytical thinking, as well as communication and management skills required. Ability to interpret actionable data for a broad audience. - Ability to set priorities and to manage and measure work effectively - Must be passionate about understanding customer behavior and be able to translate those findings into meaningful, actionable insight. - Affinity for finance and evaluating analytical situations and leveraging existing information systems to extract relevant and actionable insights. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel of finance required. - Ability to problem solve and to make and communicate informed and confident decisions and recommendations based on complex information and in a clearly, timely and effective manner. - 4-year degree in Marketing/Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience are required - MBA preferred - 5+ years relevant experience"
