"Berean Group is Seeking Oracle Database Developer Location: Rockville, MD Duration: 6 months Job Type: Contract to Hire Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only Job Purpose: This position is responsible for providing database administration, operational and development support. The Database Developer provides database implementation and administration support to a cross-functional project team. Essential Duties: • One of 10 people on a multidisciplinary team replacing a legacy transactional database and Oracle Forms with a web-based solution. • Work with lead database developer to create, unit test, and system test stored procedures. • Write and review data design specifications (including entity relationship diagrams and data dictionaries), data migration plans, and meeting notes. • Develop and test scripts to create, extract, convert, and load databases. • Develop and test stored procedures that software engineers can invoke from web applications. • Optimize Database design for performance and integrity. • Perform other development tasks (e.g., reporting status, attending demos, explaining as-built functionality to business analysts, etc.) Required Qualifications: • 3 to 5 years experience as an Oracle database developer in a software consulting or product development organization. • Experience with MS Word and automated data modeling tools. • Expert knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, normalization, constraints, and other database concepts in an Oracle 10g or 11g environment. • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and product release/build processes. • Proficiency with SQL and knowledge of database modeling and optimization principles Preferred Qualifications: Agile development, federal government consulting, UML, data warehouse/marts, federal contracting environment Workflow/business process management applications, Java, JDBC, DAOs, ETL tools, Oracle Forms 10g Experience with JIRA and TOAD or similar tools For More Job description and to apply click on the links below: [ http://www.bereangroup.com/jobInfo.do?jobId=116157 ] You can also mail your resume at resumes@bereangroup.com and swati.das@bereangroup.com with the job #116157 in the subject line .
