View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/o63WCx Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities: •Effectively transact in various fixed income instruments for the benefit of GPAM’s clients. •Build and maintain strong business relationships with various investment banks and brokerage firms. •Work with credit analysts routinely to manage positions and credit quality within all portfolios. •Ensure accurate pricing from vendors routinely and at each month’s end. •Work with back and middle office to correct discrepancies with trading counterparties and custodians. •Monitor positions and portfolios for total return trading opportunities. •Provide market information and data to senior management, sales and marketing, and clients. •Create presentation materials regarding credit markets to senior management, sales and marketing, and clients. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree and completion of CFA level 1 highly desired. •Minimum 5 years experience at a buy-side or sell-side investment firm. •Must have a sound working knowledge of fixed income securities and financial markets. •Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must. •Team oriented individual with ability to work well with diverse groups. •Organized, detail oriented and extremely thorough while having the confidence and communication skills to ensure work processes are completed accurately and appropriately. •Must be willing to roll up their sleeves to perform any and all responsibilities needed to ensure success. •Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvement. •Proficiency in all Microsoft products required with a particular emphasis on Excel. •Must successfully pass a background and credit check. •Located in Santa Monica office."
