Each strategy is offered through multiple investment vehicles to accommodate a broad range of client mandates. Job Description: We are seeking an Energy Research Analyst to join Artisan’s Growth Equity team in Milwaukee, WI. The investment team manages approximately $12.3 billion in U.S. Mid-Cap Growth, U.S. Small-Cap Growth, and Global Opportunities investments. Primary responsibilities include assisting the portfolio managers and investment analysts in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial and other information about companies, their competitors, customers, suppliers, and others, on which investment analysts and portfolio managers will base their recommendations and investment decisions. The research analyst will conduct a fundamental, bottom-up research process to analyze equity securities. The associate will be required to develop and maintain research relationships with company management and industry contacts to stay abreast of changes in company fundamentals; proactively and concisely communicate investment analysis to the investment team. We are looking for individuals who have a strong interest in equity investing and a focus on bottom-up fundamental stock analysis. We prefer candidates who are resourceful and have strong analytical experience. Candidates should also have strong communication skills, a good work ethic and the ability to work in a small team environment. Three years of relevant experience in the energy industry, or three years of experience with financial analysis is preferred. · Demonstrated analytical abilities · Superior written and oral communication skills · The ability to read and understand financial statements · A keen interest in investing and stock markets · Pursuing an advanced degree in business, finance, or other substantive field of study · Strong computer skills, including facility with spreadsheets are essential"
